On May 3rd executive director Judi gaiashkibos attended LegalAid and Film Streams’ screening of “Highway of Tears” and then participated in a speaking panel on missing and murdered native women. This panel featured Ms. gaiashkibos and Lorene Thomas, of the Santee Sixou Tribe of Nebraska. Kirby Williams, a commissioner on the Commission on Indian Affairs board who also works for LegalAid was the moderator of the discussion.
