Last summer, KANEKO partnered with the Omaha Public Schools (OPS) Native American Indian Education Department, Therman Statom Studios, and the Hot Shops Art Center to offer an extended, multidisciplinary, hands-on workshop that introduced OPS Native American elementary and secondary school students to art as a viable area of study and work. Great Plains Art Museum in conjunction with Lincoln Public Schools Visual Arts Mentorship exhibition will show the student’s artwork in an exhibit beginning on April 6th, 5-7 p.m. The exhibit will close April 22nd, 2012.
