Marshall Gover will present a program on Pawnee life and culture. Mr. Gover is an enrolled member of the Pawnee Nation and has served as President and member of the Pawnee Business Council. Mr. Gover has traveled extensively promoting understanding of the First Peoples. He has met with US Presidents and cabinet members, and is in great demand as a speaker. You will not want to miss this program.
Sunday,November 10th, 1:30 pm. Joe Marshall will help us celebrate National Native American Heritage Month with a program about his latest book. Mr. Marshall was born and raised on the Rosebud Sioux Indian Reservation and is an enrolled member of the Sicangu Lakota (Rosebud Sioux) tribe. Because he was raised in a traditional Lakota household by his maternal grandparents, his first language is Lakota. In that environment he also learned the ancient tradition of oral story telling.
Admission is a free will donation. The program will be followed by a Speaker’s Reception in the Arts Center located at 106 S Mill St. Light refreshments will be served.
