NCIA staff traveled to Kansas last week to attend an Inter-Tribal meeting with the Kansas Commission on Indian Affairs, the Ioway Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska, and the Sac and Fox Nation. Items discussed were updates about projects and issues each agency/tribe is currently engaged in and the possibility of including the Ioway Tribe and Sac and Fox Nation on the Board of the Nebraska Commission on Indian Affairs.
