NCIA staff attended the Winnebago tribe’s annual legislative luncheon hosted by O’Hara Lindsay Government Relations at the Nebraska State Bar Association in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 14. This annual event featured introductions by State Tribal Relations Committee Chair Robert Hilkemann, presentations by Winnebago Tribal Chairman Coly Brown, public relations officer Garan Coons and Danelle Smith, the Executive Director of the Winnebago Comprehensive Healthcare System. NCIA Executive Director Judi gaiashkibos also gave a brief update on legislation of interest to Nebraska tribes.
