MARCH & APRIL

 

  • TRADITIONAL TWO PIECE DRESS – with Janet (Nakay) Bird on March 3rd, 17th & 31st from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Students will learn how to cut and sew the traditional two piece the dresses are worn as daily wear or at dances and pow-wows. This will include the pleating on both garments. Cost $25.00 (Youth Scholarships available)
  • PAINTED HAND DRUM – with TBA on March 6th, 13th, 20th, & 27th from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. – Students will put together a hand drum. Once complete, they will put a painted design on the drum. (Youth Scholarships available)
  • RIBBON WORK – with Mona Bearskin on March 24th, April 14th, 21st, & 28th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Cost $25.00 (Youth Scholarships available)
  • STAR QUILT – with Maria Scott on April 3rd, 5th, 10th, 12th, 17th 19th, 24th & 26th from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.  Cost $35.00 (Youth Scholarships available)

Youth Scholarships cover the cost of all class fees and supplies. To be eligible you must be a Winnebago Community Member between the ages of 12 and 18. To apply contact Woodland Trails at 402.878.4075
