One of our commissioners, Tom Brewer (Lakota) is spending the summer serving fellow wounded warriors in Montana. Through the Heroes and Horses Organization, Col. Brewer is helping veterans who were wounded both mentally and physically in combat during remote wilderness challenges throughout the summer. Tom is a 36-year Army veteran who has served his country with honor and courage. A two-time recipient of the Purple Heart, Brewer sits on the Board of Directors for Heroes and Horses and serves as an expedition leader. Though we miss him during the summer, we are honored to have him on our Commission and as a friend of the agency.
